PENTECOST SERVICE: One in the Spirit, a celebration of the birthday of the church on Pentecost Sunday, will be at the 5 p.m. Mass on May 20 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1050 Robert Blvd., Slidell. The multicultural, multilingual liturgy will begin with a procession of saints to represent the many cultures in the Archdiocese of New Orleans. MISSION DAY: The missionary ministry of Pentecost Baptist Church, 36138 Shady Lane, Slidell, will have its annual day at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 20. CHRIST GOSPEL CHURCH: The Mothers and Daughters Tea at Christ Gospel Church of Slidell had a tropical theme, with decor featuring palm trees and leis. The food included a variety of sandwiches, cookies, cakes, chips and candies, and choice of hot or cold tea served in antique cups and saucers. Everyone had an opportunity to share their ideas of a perfect way to relax.
SCRIPTURE STUDY: “Unlocking the Mystery of the Bible” by Jeff Cavins and Sarah Christmyer will be the focus of a Scripture study from noon to 2 p.m. Thursdays, June 7-28, in the Upper Room at St. Peter Catholic Church, 318 S.
